A local metal fabrication company is hiring a Large Press Operator to join their team. Coil Fed Press Operators will set up and operate progressive presses between 200 Ton to 500 Ton. It is essential to relay quality and production issues to your supervisor, while working to maintain a clean work area. Previous experience is required for this position.

Location: Mansfield

Pay: $15+/hr + $1.00/hr attendance bonus - based on experience *Promotional $200 Employee Bonus - Visit our website for promotional rules

Schedule: 2:30pm-12am M-TH - Possible OT on Friday

Responsibilities

• Set up tools, feeders, coilers, and coil straighteners
• Inspect and record part dimensions per quality plan and customer specifications
• Troubleshoot causes when parts do not conform to customer specifications
• Unload and put finished parts in container for continued production or shipment
• Remove and clear scrap from press and work area as needed
• Report part counts and labor accurately and in a timely manner

Skills

• Good communication skills, multitasking skills and careful attention to detail
• Understand the basics of progressive tools and equipment
• Proficient in the use of metric calipers, micrometer, protractor, height gauge, gauge pins and drop through gauges
• Stand/sit or walk for up to 10 hours per day
• Regularly lift and twist your torso while handling parts

• Previous experience required
