A ceramic company in Shreve is looking for a Diamond Grinder Operator. This job includes all aspects of producing ceramic powder for use at their facilities and, when required, for customer use.

Location: Shreve

Pay: $16

Schedule:  6am-2pm M-F

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpretation of product drawings
• Performs visual, functional, and dimensional inspection on a wide variety of parts and components used in parts manufacture including gauges, mics, tooling and fixturing.
• Must follow a micrometer and gage calibration schedule including writing purchase orders for outside vendors for calibration of machines and gages that cannot be calibrated in house.
• Must be capable of determining when micrometers, calipers, and gages are no longer usable
• Using the following equipment - grinder, tumbler, sandblaster, hones, dye check, glaze wheel
• General housekeeping.
• The employee should be open to move to other departments as needed
• Other tasks as required by the Inspection Supervisor and other manufacturing departments.

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to closely follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work in a dusty environment that involves long periods of exposure to high heat in the summer and extreme cold in the winter.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Candidate should be physically fit as this position involves constant physical effort.

Education and/or Experience

• Must be a High School Grad
